Let Ourselves Be
I’ve spent years devoted to “bettering myself” and fighting forcefully to love myself in an ever constant state of mind bending evolution. Whether it was defeating the demons of disability or learning to live a life amidst the flames of anxiety, I was always working on myself.
The fight in my chest - the growth enthusiast that I am to my core - is what I am proudest of AND it is time for me to also become proud of myself in the pause. It is time for me and I believe all of us, as a society, to celebrate the spectacular art of radical acceptance in all our stares of being, productive, loving and otherwise.
So today, I don’t challenge you to take on a fear. I don’t challenge you to get out of bed.
Today, I challenge you to simply be and make kind space for all that you are in that state of existence.
